The right carpet for the right room.

Plush for bedrooms. Frieze for traffic. Berber for budget-friendly durability. We bring samples and help you match fiber, pile, and density to how each room actually gets used.

Plush bedroom carpet install in a DFW home

Honest fiber breakdown

Polyester is entry-level. Stain-resistant, soft, affordable. Wears faster than nylon under heavy traffic. Best for guest rooms, formal living rooms, low-traffic spaces.

Triexta (Mohawk SmartStrand) is the sweet spot for most homes. Engineered for stain resistance — kids and pets are forgiving. Costs more than polyester, less than premium nylon, performs close to nylon.

Nylon is the durability king. Bounces back from heavy traffic, lasts 15+ years with care. Premium price.

Wool is the luxury option. Beautiful, resilient, expensive, niche. Most homes don’t need it.

For households with kids and pets

For kid-and-pet households, we recommend Triexta (Mohawk SmartStrand) with high density and a frieze pile. Here’s why:

  • Triexta fiber has stain resistance built into the molecule — not a topical coating that wears off
  • High density (40+ ounces) means more fiber per square inch, more durable underfoot
  • Frieze pile (twisted strands) hides traffic patterns and pet wear better than plush

Even the best stain protection has limits — wine, coffee, blood will all show if not cleaned quickly. But Triexta gets you the most forgiving carpet without paying premium-nylon prices.

Padding matters more than people think

Padding is 15-25% of total carpet cost — and it extends carpet life by 3-5 years. Skipping good padding to save money typically costs you a faster replacement.

What’s included in your install

  • Baseboard pull and reinstall where carpet meets baseboard (not shoe-mold over the new carpet) — keeps the line clean
  • Door undercutting where the new carpet’s height requires it
  • Transitions to existing flooring — T-mold, reducer, threshold as needed
  • HEPA-vacuum dust containment during demo of existing flooring
  • Furniture moved by our crew — you don’t lift a finger
  • Demo and disposal of old carpet and pad
